It is the killing of offspring of another animal.

Common in the wild - for example, a male lion will kill the cubs of another male when he takes over the pride, in order that he wipes out that bloodline and ensures his own children are left unchallenged.

It happens in war torn countries such as Africa and the Eastern Bloc Countries of the modern day, as a way of wiping out the enemy’s morale and heritage.

I have had no personal experience of this.

But I have to tell you, I nearly did it at Disneyland once.
